Welcome to Kansas Computerized Assessments!
This tutorial is designed to assist teachers in learning about the features of the Kansas Computerized Assessments (KCA), and to provide information for proper administration.
The tests include:
- Mathematics, grades 3-8 and HS.
- Reading, grades 3-8 and HS.
- Accommodations for Special Education (KAMM) and ELL students.
How to prepare students
- Teachers and students should interact with the Student Tutorials specific to your subject and grade. This must be done at least once before actual testing.
- Teachers and students should complete both Practice Tests for your appropriate subject. Each subject and grade level configuration has two Practice Tests to experiment with and experience. This is strongly advised.
- Utilize Formative Tests. These tests are provided by indicator/subject/grade, with an additional comprehensive test per subject/grade. This is strongly advised.
- Review the KCA Administration Manual (PDF) and KCA Testing Guide (PDF). These must be reviewed by teachers at least once before testing.
